A few weeks ago, our little family embarked on our first camping trip. I think I was more excited about it than the kids were! We had finally finished renovating our old camper and it was time to try it out!
35 years ago today I was brought into the world. I don’t know if this is the reason why I love spring so much, but it is my favorite season by far. Everything is always so fresh, green, and vibrant.
Driving back home from a wonderful day at the zoo, we realized something was wrong — there was smoke everywhere!
Have you ever been around your kids and just listened in on their conversations with each other? I have been amazed to find out what they know and what they have picked up from the world around them.

Maybe it’s the 5 kids, running Paine Construction, or our little inspirational store, but it seems that time is in short supply right now.
I’ve been asked recently, “How has it been adjusting to 5 little ones?” I'm rocking Finley & the other 4 are chattering happily — but it’s not always this peaceful.
This week was filled heart wrenching reports of global events affecting so many people... but our pastor asked a simple question, “Are there not things we can be thankful for?”
Yesterday evening as I was making dinner, in the hurry of it all, the potatoes started boiling over. I’m sure we’re all too familiar with kitchen messes and juggling multiple things at once, so it wasn’t an abnormal occurrence.
