Impossible Made Possible

“the wall of the city shall fall down flat”
Joshua 6:5

I don’t know what those walls of Jericho looked like when Joshua was staring at them, but I sure do wonder what was going through his mind. The word IMPOSSIBLE comes to me as I put myself in his shoes. (See Joshua 6 for the whole story).

It is estimated that the walls of Jericho were over 40 feet tall and up to 8 feet thick. It’s not recorded that Joshua had access to any high-tech catapults or large ramming rods. All he had to stand against something of that magnitude, that formidable an obstacle, was his faith. Simple faith in God’s Word and His promises.

I love how God says the walls will not only fall down but be flattened. The crazy thing that historians haven’t figured out yet is how the walls of Jericho fell outward. They chalk up the structural evidence supporting some form of seismic involvement.

Their theory is partially true…SOMEONE of seismic proportions named Almighty God came through on His promise and made the impossible POSSIBLE.

I don’t know what impossibility stares you in the face… but choose simple faith in God’s promises every time, and watch God do some amazing things that will still baffle people today.

Be Encouraged.
