Giving Gifts

by | December 26, 2022

As Christmas commotion is quieting down, I am left with my jumbled thoughts in this busy time. It’s a season about giving, and I have been thinking about many people I know who have spent their lives doing just that. They give of themselves, their time, their resources, and their abilities to further a cause or to have a part in something bigger than themselves.

This type of giving inspires me. The truth is, you can give without love, but you cannot love without giving. The greatest gift we all could ever receive is God’s gift of salvation. The well-known words of John 3:16 show this: “For God so loved the world, that he gavehis only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I have always wanted to be known as a giver, and I think that is God’s heart for each of His children. Jesus said in Luke 6:38: “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

We have been praying for a long time about a ministry that we could highlight and give to in some capacity. The Lord answered that prayer as we considered Mount Pisgah Printing Ministry.

Recently, Erin and I got to tour this little print shop making a big impact all around the world — and we got to visit with the incredible staff & volunteers that give of themselves to this work so sacrificially. We even got to help out a little bit ourselves! Here’s a video to tell you more:

Since its humble beginnings in 1975, this non-profit print shop has printed over a million scriptures yearly! Mount Pisgah Printing Ministry has published Bibles in over 20 languages and ships worldwide. It’s hard to believe that a print shop in a small town in Tennessee is having such an incredible impact around the world . . . but then again, we listened to story after story about God’s Word getting into people’s hands for the very first time through this ministry.

It has been in our hearts to give this ministry 10% of all Chad & Erin Co profits through this new year, 2023. Join us in some way, whether small or great, to give to the furtherance of the gospel through the printing of God’s Word!

Be encouraged.

Chad
