| “The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.” – Psalm 115:14 I smiled as I read this passage this morning. God is indeed doing this for our family in more ways than one with the anticipated arrival of baby Paine #7. We couldn’t be more thrilled, and we are rejoicing in His goodness. But a small phrase caught my attention a few verses prior: “The Lod hath been mindful of us…” – Psalm 115:12 I had to take a moment to process this truth. Wow. How could the God of the Universe be “mindful” of us?? Another way of saying this would be the Lord remembers us. Just this thought alone was encouraging because I know I’m already forgetting things and having to rely on sticky notes and reminders. But God remembers and knows each of us and desires to be known personally. As I considered all the ways the Lord has provided, led, and directed our family, and how He has done the same for countless others, a sense of unworthiness, as well as gratitude, built up in my heart. No matter the circumstance we may be facing…know that the Lord remembers His children and He cares. |
