If you want to kick-start your day with some encouragement, read a Psalm every day. This verse stepped off the page for me:
“As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him” Psalm 18:30
Everyone knows that no one is perfect, and we know that God is perfect. If God’s perfect, then His plan for us is perfect. So what’s His perfect plan? God reveals His perfect will through His Word, which He has given us (another great reason to start your day by reading). He has also given us the Holy Spirit, who dwells in every Christian’s heart to guide us (see John 16:13).
I love what Adrian Rogers said about God’s will:
“God wants for you what you’d want for yourself if you had enough sense to want it.”
We serve an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-wise God who loves us very much. We know in our hearts that if you genuinely love someone, you want the very best for them. How much more is this true with our holy, loving God?
Remember today that you are loved. God’s will is perfect, and you can find and know it as you spend time with Him in right fellowship.
