Yesterday evening as I was making dinner, in the hurry of it all, the potatoes started boiling over. I’m sure we’re all too familiar with kitchen messes and juggling multiple things at once, so it wasn’t an abnormal occurrence, but during my evening devotions, it just seemed to jump off the page when I read:
“Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfied the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”
Psalm 107:8-9
It just made me connect the “overflowing pot” scenario with a picture of a heart that is completely overflowing with God’s goodness, that they absolutely have to tell others about Him. They are so overwhelmed with who He is and they want to make Him known.
This is the person I aspire to be. I want to tell anyone I come in contact with about the One who has changed my life. I want to tell everyone about the goodness of God. He is worthy of our praise.
Take the time today to tell someone about what God means to you. You never know how it could change their life.
