“Yet I will…”

by | March 14, 2022

I’ve been asked recently “How has it been adjusting to 5 little ones?” — and as I sit here rocking Finley and listening to the happy chatter of four others playing in the floor, I know I am living my dream.

But it’s not always this peaceful . . . in fact, less than an hour ago, I was nursing and attempting to break up a fight, as one was in the floor pitching a tantrum. Oh! And the last one was hollering to be wiped off! It was almost comical!

The work load isn’t light or easy at times, but the joy that comes from pouring my life into these tiny children and seeing their tender hearts blossom is overwhelming.

I love the verse that says, “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” (Hab. 3:18)

Even when things don’t go as planned throughout the day, or attitudes are at an all time high, Yet I WILL [a choice I have to make] REJOICE IN THE LORD . . . comes to mind. I want to have a smile on my face and joy in my heart even in the “crazy” moments of the day.

More than anything else, I want to reflect Jesus to those around me, but especially to the ones who know me best . . . our little family.

Love,

Erin
