The song “Because He Lives” was on my mind this past week. As Christians, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, every day of the week. Because He lives, we can have the forgiveness of sin, new life, and the promise of heaven as our home. This truth makes all the difference in the world! As Christians, even in the midst of losing loved ones, we can hold on to the hope that we will see them again.
Because He lives, I can face each day with a renewed desire and motivation to spread the good news.
Because He lives, I may not know what the future holds, but I know who holds us all in His hands.
Because He lives, I have a greater purpose than just living for myself. I can serve those around me and encourage and strengthen others to be all that God intended them to be.
And it is BECAUSE HE LIVES that I serve a God Who is alive and has given me new life through His Son.
In John 11:25, Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” I am challenged today with a renewed desire to encourage people and tell others about Jesus . . . just because He lives.
