I found myself a little frustrated that I was bringing the same exact request to God again and again. Why isn't God taking over my burdens?
A couple weeks ago, someone asked me a question that really made me stop and think. We muttered an answer after we had thought for a second, but the words he said after our explanation just stopped me in my tracks. It was like he made Scripture “come alive” in my heart.
This weekend we spent some quality time with a dear 92-year-old man. As I sat next to him, he just started reminiscing about his life — the hard times and the happy times. He lived a simple life, but a life full of faith.
This week our kids made a complete mess of our living room... and it made me think of the family of God.
